I was introduced to Mr Britton several years ago when I had problems with my left hip following a fall. After visiting the Clifton Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Centre at York which I visited several times my physio there decided to refer me to Mr Britton for a consultation with regards to a hip replacement. Since first seeing Mr Britton all those years ago I have now had a left hip replacement, left knee, part replacement and just recently a full right knee replacement, all carried out by Mr Britton. I cannot thank the physiotherapist at Clifton enough for that initial introduction to Mr Britton as I have now had three major procedures done by Mr Britton which have been amazing. The quality of care by Mr Britton and his team, at Nuffield York on all three occasions was exemplary. I was always taught in my business career that team work starts at the top, so it is obvious Mr Britton sets high standards of care and ensures it is passed right down the line, it has been a pleasure and a privilege to have had my three procedures at Nuffield and there would be nothing I could say where they could improve on what they are already doing. I have to say the level of care, professionalism shown along with the clarity of what was required ahead of, during and after the procedure was top drawer. I felt completely at ease that I was in the care of a professional who knows his subject and gives confidence to those he is responsible for. I would highly recommend Edward to others, having had an incredibly positive experience and a great outcome! Keep up the excellent work! :-)

I first met Mr Britton in August 2019, when he undertook an arthroscopy on my left knee, this was followed up by TKR - the explanation, support and after care were second to none. When I started with symptoms on my right knee I had no hesitation to request the help of Mr Britton. We worked together through physio and steroid injection but following an arthroscopy, another TKR was inevitable. Once again I couldn’t fault the care and support- I recommend Mr Britton 100%. Whilst I am hopeful that I will not need his help again, I wouldn’t have the slightest concern if I did! Thank you

Mr Britton always showed the utmost care in every appointment I had with him, he always took the time to listen and explained in detail every aspect of the up coming surgery. I would highly recommend this surgeon to anyone needing his expertise. On the day of my surgery Mr Britton made me feel at total ease taking care of any worries I may have had, I had a total knee replacement that went smoothly from start to finish and am making an excellent trouble free recovery.

I felt at ease talking to Mr Britton in my consultations both before and after my surgery. The care and attention I received was exceptional and my wound has healed perfectly. If I needed surgery again I would request Mr Britton without a doubt.
